My favorite photo was the photo of the vine of ripen concord grapes growing (photo #4).I took this shot in my very own garden . The shot of the photo is close up to the grapes and straight on .The photo is vertical , in order to enhance the grapes .I considered the rule of thirds when composing my shot of grapes . I believe this photo is dynamic and leads the viewers eye throughout the photo , because there are a lot of elements to look at such as the leaves , the curly vine , and the sun light shining at the grapes .
II.Pattern & Texture
My best photo is the photo of the basket (photo #1). I took the shot of the basket from about a few inches above the basket. The photo is horizontal and does follow the rule of thirds, the center weave of the basket is not completely centered in the shot, therefore it does follow the rule of thirds. This photo is an example of both pattern and texture. The pattern is the repetition in the weave and the texture is the rough dry wood look you can almost feel in the photo.
The photo I feel is a tad over exposed is the photo of the spices (photo #6). The photo is extremely white/ bright. Certain spices are also to dark. The over exposure of the photo is used in order to maintain texture. I believe the photo of the basket (photo #1) is a properly exposed photo. There is a wide range of gray values .The photo is just dark enough so that you can visualize the negative and positive spaces in-between the weave of the basket .
